VP of Sales, Rainfall Health

Beth Gall has spent her career in healthcare and IT and has a passion for connecting both worlds. Her recent focus has been on enhancing healthcare access for underserved and rural populations. Currently, she serves as the VP of Sales at Rainfall Health, where she continues to pursue this goal.  Prior to joining Rainfall Health, she specialized in establishing telepsychiatry networks and providing HIT consulting for health systems nationwide. 

Beth has been attending GKC HIMSS events since 2007 and has been on the board since 2017.  She is passionate about staying up to date on industry related topics, thought leadership, advocacy initiatives, and overall being part of a chapter that is as collaborative and fun as this one is.  She has held roles supporting Programming, Communication, President-Elect, and is now your GKC HIMSS President.

When not working or supporting HIMSS, Beth is a mom to two sets of twins (11, 11, 7, 7) and enjoys old lady hobbies (quilting, crochet, etc.), coaching rec volleyball, and doing about anything that gets her out in the sun.

Regional Chief Information Officer, Advent Health MidAmerica

Andrea Trillo currently serves as Past-President for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board.  Ms. Trillo serves as the Regional CIO for AdventHealth, one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States.  Andrea started her career as a critical care nurse and strives to keep the patient at the forefront of her efforts.  In 2017 she led the AdventHealth Shawnee Mission’s effort to achieve a HIMSS Level 7 certification.  In 2019, she became the CIO of AdventHealth’s MidAmerica Division. 

Andrea is a graduate of Park University and has a bachelor’s degree in Management/Healthcare Administration as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.  She also has a Master’s in Healthcare Administration.  Ms. Trillo also volunteers as the Moms Committee Chair for her son’s football team.  In her spare time, you can find her at high school sporting events, listening to live music or cheering on any of the KC sports teams.

Senior Vice President of Internal Operations, TridentCare

Abby Polich currently serves as President-Elect for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board.  Abby Polich serves as SVP of Internal Operations at TridentCare. Prior to her role at TridentCare, Ms. Polich served as President and Executive Advisor of her own
consultancy, supporting healthcare organizations with large-scale EHR implementation and strategy projects. She also served as Managing Director and Practice Lead of Implementation Services at Nordic Global, where she grew the division to $100MM+ in revenue and led her team to achieve Best-In-KLAS honors two years in a row. Ms. Polich graduated summa cum laude from Luther College and holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She serves as Vice President of Development for her local elementary school PTO, serves on the board at her church, coaches for Girls on the Run, and leads a lively group of 2 nd grade Girl Scouts. In her spare time, you can find her running, weightlifting, or driving her two daughters to various sporting and musical events.

Manager Information Services, Saint Luke’s Health System

Rachel Thorne currently serves as the Treasurer for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board.  She is responsible for monitoring/reporting the assets and expenses for the chapter, and she helps ensure we operate in a manner to meet our budget goals.

Rachel has spent her career in the Health Information/Information Technology space, and she is currently serving as a Revenue Cycle IT manager at Saint Luke’s Health System. Rachel completed her undergraduate work at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and she has a degree in Health Information Technology. She is RHIT-certified through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and she is Epic and ITIL certified. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys family time, reading, gardening, cooking and crafting.

ERP System Administrator and Trainer, The University of Kansas Health System

Melanie currently serves as Secretary for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board. She has worked at UKHS for 13 years in various roles; the latest being the ERP System Administrator and UKG Trainer. Responsibilities include mergers & acquisitions, system management, process improvements and training for teammates and end-users in UKG software. She holds two A.S. degrees, one in nursing and the other in IT along with multiple certifications like Six Sigma Black Belt, ITIL, Microsoft, Graphic Design, Programming and HITECH.
In her spare time, she can be found gardening, crafting, baking custom creations, or improving herself by reading, meditating, yoga, taking online courses or participating in 5K walks like NAMI, AHA, or Pride.

Enterprise Account Executive, symplr

Kelsey serves as the Membership Chair for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board. She has been involved with HIMSS in multiple facets throughout her career and recently began working with the GKC HIMSS Board in 2023 as a micro volunteer.

Ms. Wilson is currently serving as an Enterprise Account Executive helping healthcare organizations improve their operations with innovative solutions. Prior to joining symplr, Kelsey served in various roles partnering with Health Systems to expand their footprint at Cerner Corporation (now Oracle) and Premier Inc. Born and raised in Kansas City, Kelsey completed her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri, Columbia and her Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Healthcare management from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. 

Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys traveling to new places, eating at new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family. She also serves as the Chief Operations and Strategy Officer for High Dive Global, an organization dedicated to promoting the sport of high diving through training, events, and fostering a community for the sport.

Ian Mamminga currently serves as the Programming Chair for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board.  He brings over 20 years of experience in Healthcare IT.  During that time, Ian has held leadership positions at Cerner Corporation, Netsmart, Nordic Consulting,  Evergreen Healthcare Partners and most recently at LCMC Health.  He is currently serving as the VP - IT Operations for LCMC Health. Ian did his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas.  In addition, he has an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and a Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.  Outside of work, Ian is often found at his kid’s various activities, volunteering at the local food pantry, or cheering on his favorite sports teams.

VP Revenue Operations, MDClone

Brandi Meyers serves as the Communications Chair for the Greater Kansas City HIMSS Board.  She brings a combination of technology implementation and communications expertise from over 20 years of experience in Healthcare IT.  Her background includes healthcare processes and controls with Deloitte & Touche, LLP as well as experience with data and IT roles at providers in South Louisiana.  Most of her recent experience is specific to Healthcare IT with Cerner Corporation (now Oracle) across business groups focused on deliver, support, and marketing and MDClone in her current role leading client experience, sales enablement, and communications.

Brandi has an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University with a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Missouri – Columbia.  Outside of work, Brandi focuses on managing the schedules of her young children, playing with the Kansas City Flute Choir, and keeping up with the local Pickleball Community.

System Director of IT Operations and Support, The University of Kansas Health System

Matt currently serves at Sponsorship Chair for the Greater Kansas City (GKC) HIMSS Board. He has worked with the GKC HIMSS Board since 2013, serving as President, Communications Chair, and the HIMSS National Taskforce.

Mr. Smith has also worked at The University of Kansas Health System for 18 years, in various roles. From System Administration Director, to Desktop, Support, and Operations Director. He responsibilities also include integration and expansion (merger and acquisitions) with the health system, as well as management over the regional IT teams.

Matt has his master’s degree in healthcare administration, with an emphasis in Management of Information Systems and Data Analytics. He is also certified and credentialed as CHCIO, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, ITIL, past MCSE, Lean Six Sigma, and many other technologies.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and camping with his family, and watching his kids compete in soccer, volleyball, cross country, and track.

Solutions Architect, Snowflake

Mike currently serves at Advocacy Chair for the Greater Kansas City (GKC) HIMSS Board. He has been a member of the chapter for a few years, and has worked with the Board since 2023.  

Mr. Johnson has worked at Snowflake for 3 years, as a Solutions Architect in the Professional Services division. He works with public and private sector healthcare clients to manage cloud transformation projects such as migrations, data architecture enhancements, and application redesign. His previous experience includes leading integration for public sector state agency solutions (COVID contact tracing platforms), global healthcare delivery nonprofit agency work, and quality improvement work serving healthcare facilities in resource-limited settings.

Mike has his master’s degree in Management, Policy Analysis, and Entrepreneurship in the Health and Life Sciences from VU University Amsterdam (The Netherlands). In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and camping with his family, rock climbing, and cycling.

Family Physician | Medical Director of Innovation, Digital Health, & Virtual Care | Associate Professor, The University of Kansas Health System/KUMC

Denton is a Family Physician and a Medical Director of Innovation and Informatics within The University of Kansas Health System where he’s championing telehealth and mobile health projects and driving the digital health strategy forward. He’s also an Assistant Professor and works with the Inter-professional Teaching Clinic with students and resident physicians. He is also active in global health organizations that engage learners and helps to promote public health and sustainable continuity primary care around the world.

He earned bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry, Spanish, and Chemistry at Kansas State University, a Master’s in Public Health at Drexel University in Philadelphia, a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed Family Medicine Residency at Unity Health Care in Washington D.C.

Jeffrey W. Sattler, PharmD, DO, FAMIA is an experienced internal medicine physician with pharmacy background who also works in areas of clinical informatics, quality/process improvement, healthcare technology, and physician advisor (utilization review/clinical documentation improvement).  He has a passion for improving systematic processes to better patient care harnessing technology and innovation to drive changes focused on innovation and optimization of current patient care/practices.

Dr. Sattler graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy with BS and PharmD degrees.  He attended Kansas City University College of Osteopathic medicine and trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  Board certifications include internal medicine and clinical informatics.

Hobbies include: Golf, Jogging, outdoors, technology, and time with his family – wife (Jackie) and 4 kids.
