Join the Greater Kansas City Chapter for our annual State of Healthcare event. We are delighted to welcome Hal Wolf, President and CEO of HIMSS, back to Kansas City to speak. We are also thrilled that Chad Austin, President of the Kansas Hospital Association and Jon Doolittle, President of the Missouri Hospital Association will be presenting as well. They will discuss how healthcare is evolving, provide legislative updates and explore ideas on how to foster partnership and communication at the local, regional and national levels.

Harold (Hal) Wolf is the president and CEO of HIMSS, a global non-profit advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.  Wolf is respected internationally as a healthcare and informatics leader, with areas of
expertise in digital health, product development, integrated care models, marketing, distribution, information and technology, and large-scale innovation implementation.
Before joining HIMSS, Wolf served at The Chartis Group as director, practice leader, information and digital health strategy. Prior to The Chartis Group, he served as senior vice president and COO of Kaiser Permanente’s The Permanente Federation, representing more than 16,000 physicians. Wolf also held executive positions at MTV Networks and Time Warner, and served as senior advisor to McKinsey & Co.

Chad Austin became president and CEO of the Kansas Hospital Association in September 2020. He began his career at KHA in 1999 as the director of data services.    
Throughout Chad’s tenure at the hospital association, he has held responsibilities for managing the association’s data related activities, rural health and Critical Access Hospital issues, and the oversight of the Kansas Rural Health Options Project. Prior to becoming president and CEO, he was the primary government relations representative overseeing all state and federal advocacy initiatives for the association.   
In his role as president and CEO of KHA, he serves on the Board of the Health Alliance of Mid-America, a joint venture between the Kansas Hospital Association and the Missouri Hospital Association, the KAMMCO Board, the Board of the Kansas Healthcare Collaborative, and the Regional Policy Board of the American Hospital Association.

 

 

 

 

 

Jon Doolittle

Jon D. Doolittle is the President and CEO of the Missouri Hospital Association, the trade association serving the state’s 140 hospitals and 20 health systems. The association provides a variety of services for its members, including: federal, state and local governmental representation and advocacy; health care policy development; public and professional education; quality improvement and safety initiatives; research; and public and media relations and communications.
Before joining MHA, Mr. Doolittle served as Regional President of Mosaic Medical Center – Albany, formerly known as Northwest Medical Center, which provides care for the people of Northwest Missouri through a critical access hospital located in Albany, Missouri; four primary care clinics; and a variety of community partnerships. Jon’s health care experience includes more than 11 years working in a variety of roles with Cerner Corporation, a Kansas City-based health care information systems company. Prior to
Cerner, he worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, where he concentrated in Government and a master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
